About
A Business Case for Diversity is a project being led by York College which will demonstrate the importance of equality and diversity in the world of Business Management. With the overall aim of incorporating equality and diversity into every day leadership and management.
A Business Case for Diversity is taking an entirely new approach to disseminating Diversity into education and training. The project ethos is to be inclusive and consultative to place Equality and Diversity in the foundation of education and teaching in West Yorkshire.
The project is West Yorkshire based led by York College with active participation from The Fair Play Partnership, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Leeds, Bradford University and the Northern Leadership Academy. These organisations will from a Strategic Learning Partnership which will bring together expertise from the following people:

- Dr. Jackie Ford, Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Organisation Studies, Bradford University
- Dr. Jennifer Tomlinson, Director of MA Diversity Management and Human Resource Management, Leeds University Business School
- Jeff Gold, Principal Lecturer Leeds Business School
- Liz Bavidge, Chair, The Fair Play Partnership
- Emma Carter, Director, The Fair Play Partnership
- Julie Kitching, Diversity Development Advisor, York College
- Facilitated by the Project Management Team at York College.
The project is funded by Yorkshire Forward through the Learning and Skills Council and will run until the end of December 2009.
This project aims to engage with over 225 training providers delivering Leadership and Management training in West Yorkshire and to pilot course material with over 50 providers.
The project will be running across the 5 districts of West Yorkshire: Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield in consultation with associates/representatives from each district, to ensure the needs of the particular districts are met.
